My Approach

Therapy with me isn’t clinical or detached. It’s warm, real, and grounded in everyday life. I offer thoughtful, professional support with an approachable, human touch. My aim is to create a calm, collaborative space where you can feel seen, supported, and able to exhale.

I believe we are all striving toward health, and when we have the right resources, we are capable of moving toward what we need and want in our lives.

A Whole-Person, Mind-Body-Relational Lens

My work integrates your inner world, your body, and the relational patterns that have shaped you. I support clients in making sense of their emotional and physical experiences in a way that feels whole and human, not fragmented. This includes attending to the influence of hormones, chronic stress, neurobiology, attachment histories, and lived experiences.

Why the Therapeutic Relationship Matters

Research shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes in therapy. We are wired for connection, and support is essential, especially during difficult life transitions.

In our work together, I provide steady, attuned support — what I consider “scaffolding” — so you don’t have to navigate challenges alone.

A Flexible, Integrative Approach

My approach weaves together several evidence-based modalities that help us explore your inner world, strengthen emotional clarity, and deepen connection with yourself and others. The foundations of my work include Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Attachment-Based approaches, each offering a different way of understanding experience and making sense of patterns.

I also draw from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Non-Violent Communication (NVC) when skill-building is helpful.

Somatic awareness is also integrated gently throughout our work. This involves noticing the cues, protections, and wisdom held in the body—signals that often reveal what words haven’t yet captured. Attuning to these internal rhythms can deepen understanding and support the nervous system in finding steadiness.

I don’t work in a rigid, manualized way. Most people don’t need a worksheet for every problem; they need understanding, clarity, and a safe relational space where insight can unfold. When practical tools are helpful, we use them intentionally and collaboratively.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Psychodynamic therapy explores the patterns, beliefs, and emotional experiences that operate beneath the surface. It helps us see how your past influences present reactions and relationships. By understanding the roots behind recurring patterns we create space for clarity and new choices.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy supports you in understanding your emotions, needs, and relationship patterns. It helps individuals and couples build security, communicate more openly, and strengthen connection by working with the underlying emotions that shape how we relate.

Attachment-Based Approaches

Attachment-based therapy looks at how your early experiences shape the way you connect, protect yourself, and seek closeness today. This approach helps you build safer, more secure relationships—with others and with yourself—by understanding and reshaping these patterns.

Who I Work With

I work with adult individuals and couples in Ontario, both in-person in Mississauga and online across the province.

Common concerns I support include:

  • Relationship issues and communication patterns

  • Anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and stress

  • Identity changes and major life transitions

  • Perimenopause and menopause-related emotional and physiological changes

  • ADHD and neurodivergence (attention, executive function, emotional regulation)

  • Disconnection in couples, rebuilding trust, and improving intimacy

  • Navigating attachment injuries or patterns from the past

My work is especially informed by supporting people through midlife transitions, menopause, and neurodivergent experiences, as well as those seeking depth-oriented therapy that looks beyond symptoms and into the patterns shaping their lives.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

Clients often say that the way I show up helps them feel heard and understood, which makes it easier to open up and talk about difficult things.

I pay attention to, and hold in mind, the whole picture:

  • what’s happening in your body

  • how your emotions move and shift

  • how past experiences shape present relationships

  • what feels overwhelming, confusing, or tender

  • the strengths and capacities already within you

  • the parts of you longing for change or care

You don’t need to come prepared or polished. We start wherever you are, and we figure things out together.
